The process takes almost 2-3 days and sometimes 24 hours if your website/blog has a good PR on the internet. Just go to Google Adsense and fill up the registration form. Remember to put your right address and telephone number as they will be needed later for payment processes. The form needs following information:

Website URL: The web address of your site like www.your-site.com etc

Language: Language of your site.

Account Type: For beginners “Individual” is good.

Country: Your residential country.

Payee Name: Full name of the person who will receive your payments in future. Be exact to give full name.

Address,City,Zip: Payee address,city and zip code.

Telephone: Put your own and right telephone number as it will be later needed to verify your account.

After providing all the above information click ‘submit’ and wait 2-3 days for account approval. Sometimes it takes more than 2 weeks so be patient and do not try to submit the form again unless you are told to do so by Google itself via email.

Understanding Google Adsense:

Now I will tell you some basic terms that you should know before using Google Adsense. Below are these terms that you will always be dealing with:

Page Impressions: Number of views your page (containing ads) receives.

Clicks: Number of clicks the ads on your page get.

Page CTR: CTR means Click Through Rate. For standard ads, your ad Click Through Rate (CTR) is the number of ad clicks divided by the number of individual ad impressions.

Page CTR = Clicks / Page Impressions

Page eCPM: Effective CPM doesn’t represent your earnings – rather, it’s calculated by dividing your earnings by number of page impressions, then multiplying by 1000. For example, if you earned $0.15 from 25 page impressions, then your eCPM would equal ($0.15/25)*1000, or $6.00. If you earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, your effective CPM would equal ($180/45,000)*1000, or $4.00.

How Much You can Earn?

Many people ask this question when they are planning to make money with adsense. The answer is very simple. The earning made through adsense depend on the following factors:

Ads CPC: Ads Cost Per Click is the amount that Google earns with one clicks on an ad. If an ad has a CPC value of $5 then Google will make $5 for each click made on this ad. And definitely this money will be shared with you. the amount Google shares with you is not disclosed ever but a rough guess is 60%. So if Google displays high CPC ads on your site then you can make more money with each click.

Page CTR: Your earnings delebrately depend on CTR. Suppose your website receives 1000 impressions daily and your CTR is 1% then you will get 10 clicks daily. So CTR is the most important factor in determining your earnings. A CTR of 3-5% is considered as excellent one.

How to Improve Your Page CTR?

Getting 20000 impressions daily does not mean you are going to get rich quick. What is the use of this huge traffic if your CTR is sick (say 0.2%)? I have seen many people not getting even a single click in months. So improving your CTR will boost your income. Following are the factors that will improve your CTR:

Traffic: Definitely traffic is the root thing to increase the chances of getting clicks on ads.

Ad Placement: Put your ads on your web page where you think they catch the attention of the visitor. Do not put your ads in corners or on places where visitors would not bother to go. Try to put ads in between your content or before the content.
